"No one gets hurt," Marcus said, his tone flat. If Vash recalled how the Marcus he knew had been when he first joined Subversion, this was reminiscent of it, but slightly worse.

There was just something not only unwelcoming with it, but he it was as if his soul was dead inside too. "It's all just movie magic."

Marcus gave the other a long look, then shrugged his shoulders. "Remember you asked. I make snuff films." Of himself. Technically, no one else gets hurt.

"Then you're killing people!" Vash sounds shocked because he is. He didn't think Marcus would be going around killing people. "How is that not hurting people!?"

Marcus was quick to shake his head. A single solid shake, then moving on like he didn't just talk about murder fetishes. "Of myself. Like I said, movie magic." Not at all.

"Of yourself?" He raises a skeptical eyebrow. "What do you mean by that?"

"There's a market for people who like extreme kinks, I'm sure you already know that." They were in Duplicity after all, it was impossible that blondie, Vash, would not know. "I'm extremely good at... creating my own death." Since what sort of films he made was public knowledge, Marcus didn't try to hide it.

Marcus laughed then, a sudden ugly laugh that was empty and hollow. If he would only be so lucky. "You worry too much, blond. Is it your style to worry about about every person you meet?"

"Well, yeah, doesn't everyone?" He asks and sounds so sincere. "Why shouldn't I worry about you?"

"Really? No. Most people don't give a flying fuck. There's the police, which is their job to make sure things go right. Doesn't mean they care." Marcus' brows creased a little on his otherwise stoic expression. "Well, you shouldn't. And you don't have to. I'm always fine."
