Bad End Part 6 - Never let the pain stop

Things only continue to get worse. Vash continues to spiral and loose himself the more the mind breaking continues. The mages continue to use Cyril like he's nothing but a toy to use and throw away. Yet, any chance they have to have together the love Vash and Cyril share together stays strong. For now that remains unbroken. With every day only getting worse that will continue to be challenged.

Cyril tries to look Vash in the eye. He may be disappointed by the way Vash's eyes drift to the side towards Cyril's shoulder. He tries to do it slowly and not draw attention to it, but as he's looking for it, it will be easy for Cyril to spot.

Cyril looks like he's struck with a mix of joy and sadness. "Oh, boys," he mutters. He kisses each one of them and then walks with them to door of the estate. "It will be all right. I'll be here tomorrow."

"We'll be looking forward to it." Vash heads back to the cabin with the boys. They throw a bit of a fit when Cyril doesn't come with them. Clearly starting to get into their terrible twos as kids who aren't use to not getting their way lately.

He'll have gotten them settled by the time they get back to the cabin. He also makes sure to be carrying them both as he approaches. Wanting to let Knives see them walking as a surprise.

Knives is doing more maintenance around the house when they get back. He looks up when Vash comes in, checking over his brother and the boys. "Did they have a good visit?"

"Yeah, really good. I don't think they really wanted to leave." He shifts to carefully set both boys on their feet. "But what do you think boys? Glad to see uncle Knives? Go on, give him a hug." He gives them a bit of a nudge. Trying to encourage them both to go walking towards his brother.

When the boys start walking Knives's brow raises. "Well, look at that," he says. He bends so that he can open his arms and invite them for a hug. "Good job, you two. You're growing so well."

"I was going to try and modify or build a cart so I can wheel them with me now." He smiles with pride at watching his boys mastering how to walk. "I don't think they're quite ready to walk the whole way just yet."

[samahl]

"We can build something like that," Knives agrees. "It will be a good way to make sure you can move quickly if you need to."

[goldenglasses]

"Come on, boys. Want to help daddy build a new ride for you two?" They don't understand, but Vash gives them a few blocks to bang together as he works on making a cart that he can push the pair in. They get to laugh and play pretend at helping. Although, as Plants, they also learn. Understanding more than other kids their age. They can see how Vash works and how things work together.

Knives continues with the home maintenance he was doing while Vash puts together the cart. Once the work is done, he sets to making dinner for the boys and for Vash.

Today Vash feels like himself. The only thing he feels from the mage's manipulating his body is that constant dull throb of pain from his unfinished parts. He doesn't give it any real thought as he brings the boys in for dinner. Helping them to wash up by the time Knives has dinner ready for them.

"You're a good cook for someone who doesn't need to eat much."

[samahl]

"Hm. Cooking is science," he points out. "And if they have to eat while they grow they might as well have something decent.

You too, I suppose."

[goldenglasses]

"Heh. Thanks? I appreciate it." At least he thinks he does. Not that feeding himself is he first priority when it seems the boys would much rather play with their food rather than eat it to start with.

He eventually does have at least a small dinner before he settles into taking apart some of the clothes the boys have outgrown. Combining a couple together in order to make each a new outfit for when they eventually outgrow the ones they currently fit in.

Knives does some cleaning and housework before focusing on cleaning up the boys for the night as Vash works on fixing up some clothes for them. Eventually, it's time for bed and he settles the boys down but they seem pretty wired and as if they refuse to settle.

"Maybe we should play with them some more." Vash suggests as he sets the clothes aside. "Or get them to move around and tire them out."

[samahl]

"Hmm... Taking a walk would make them dirty again... Maybe play a game?"

[goldenglasses]

"A game could work. We could play the jump on uncle Knives game."

Knives seems surprised, but he doesn't protest when the boys move to tackle him. He's careful to guide them into more graceful movement. He turns it into teaching them how to coordinate and move.

Vash doesn't leave the twins with his brother for too long. Coming over to share the load of being a living mountain for the boys to climb and jump on. Vash taking turns lifting them up into the air and back down again. Going into tickle attacks to make sure they're not overwhelming his brother.

He doesn't try to make it too much into a teaching tool as his brother does. Letting the boys learn naturally from their own mistakes. Much more focused on the fun element of the play until they get the majority of their energy out of their systems.

Eventually, Knives tries to get them to settle again. "All right boys. It's time for bed..."

"Come on. I'll tell you two a story." Vash gets himself settled between the boys. He weave a tale about a brave elf. One who overcomes many odds in order to save the world and bring lots of candy for two special boys.

Knives lets Vash tell his story and pulls away to finish up cleaning for the night. Once he's done, he changes for bed too. He plans on resting for the rest of the night.

Vash stays up a bit longer to try and finish the clothes. He would have liked to go into town to trade his labor for more supplies, but he promised Cyril not to leave the twins too often with Knives and he promised Knives not to take the twins into town. So he plans on doing his best to make due with what he has and what Cyril can provide.

It also means that the only interactions Vash will eventually have are the boys, Cyril and his brother. He won't press Cyril for sex when he visits. He's still unsure where he stands with his lover anymore. Knowing something he said or did during his breakdown must have upset Cyril. Was it the breakdown itself? How weak he must have looked during it?

If Cyril also doesn't offer or make hints that he would like to share a bed with Vash? It means that after a couple days the throb of pain Vash always feels will grow into something different.

Cyril's interactions with Vash are very similar to how they were the day after the breakdown. He is pleasant and comforting, but there's something strangely surface-level about it. He keeps his emotions closed off from Vash, not sharing anything deeper than small talk.

He also doesn't ask for sex at all. Instead, he spends his nights with Marikoth and encourages the ex-slave to use him as many times as he can every day.

The day that Vash starts to feel that growing frustration, Cyril has ended up falling asleep again his his head against Vash's arm as they sit on the couch together. The loose tunic he's wearing as slipped off his shoulder, exposing a lot of his shoulder and collar.

Marikoth isn't nearly as violent or rough as their masters were. He also isn't as gentle as Vash tends to be. What he is, however, is very receptive and excited to learn. If Cyril directs him to go harder or faster he will. He enjoys all the extra attention Cyril gives him and wonders if maybe Cyril does love him more now. Not that he says any of this. Often too worm out and sleeping in exhaustion before he gets the chance to say so.

Together on the couch, Vash doesn't dare move or wake Cyril. Even if he's not deeply asleep, he's sure that any sleep Cyril can get will be good. Instead he swallows deeply and can't help staring at Cyril's shoulder. Some part of him wishing to shove his hand down Cyril's shirt and gives the breasts there a squeeze. He can feel his cock throbbing, but he remains still and silent.

Cyril stirs slightly and blinks a couple of times. "Hn..." he looks up at Vash. "Did I fall asleep?"
