Bad End Part 6 - Never let the pain stop

Things only continue to get worse. Vash continues to spiral and loose himself the more the mind breaking continues. The mages continue to use Cyril like he's nothing but a toy to use and throw away. Yet, any chance they have to have together the love Vash and Cyril share together stays strong. For now that remains unbroken. With every day only getting worse that will continue to be challenged.

Cyril tries to look Vash in the eye. He may be disappointed by the way Vash's eyes drift to the side towards Cyril's shoulder. He tries to do it slowly and not draw attention to it, but as he's looking for it, it will be easy for Cyril to spot.

Cyril listens and does as Vash explains. He closes his eyes and focuses on slowing down. Slowly, Vash watches as he opens himself up to the child in his arms. He doesn't seem to have the same level of frustration that Vash does, or at least he's better at hiding it.

"That's it." Vash encourages. "Feel him. Open yourself up to him. As long as he feels safe with you?" And he's sure their sons will. "He'll open himself up too. Then... I don't really know how to describe it with words, but you'll feel it. Feel his upset. Then just-- take that into you. Put yourself in it's place."

Talking through this with Cyril is helping his own focus. This time he finds it much easier to connect with his son and start to soothe him.

Guided by Vash's words, Cyril is able to do it. It's surprisingly easy for him, probably because it's with one of his sons, and the babies are the ones who made him what he is now. His whole body responds as he walks the baby through calming down and feeling comforted.

Once Vash has his twin settled, he quickly opens his eyes. Wanting to see Cyril connecting with their son. It's absolutely beautiful to him and he simply can't understand why his brother can't see what he sees in Cyril.

Once the baby is calm and collected, Cyril moves to sit next to Vash. He offers him a smile. "There you are," he says gently.

[goldenglasses]

"You did really good. Are you sure you haven't done this before?" He sounds proud because he really is.

[samahl]

Cyril offers Vash a smile. "Mmm... Pretty sure I'd remember," he teases lightly.

Then, after a moment, "You should probably think about heading back. Your brother will be expecting you."

[goldenglasses]

"Yeah, I know." He groans softly. What he really wants to do is to stay the night with Cyril. "I'm sorry, but we'll see each other again tomorrow?" He needs tomorrow. Something to look forward to.

[samahl]

Cyril nods. "And... maybe I'll figure out a way to make sure we have time alone..." He reaches out and places a warm hand on Vash's arm. "Real time alone."

[goldenglasses]

Vash feels like his whole body heats up at that touch. Especially between his legs, but keeps those feelings to himself. "That would be nice, but don't worry if you can't."

[samahl]

"I want to," Cyril says. "I promise."

[goldenglasses]

"Then I'll look forward to tomorrow even more." He says before leaning in to give Cyril a kiss. "Here, hold Alex? I should make sure I have everything on correctly before I go." He's pretty sure his pants are currently on backwards.

i should go to bed. have a good night!

Cyril takes his second son and chuckles. "Oh, yeah. I should probably do that once you leave too..." He left most of his clothes in the other room, only throwing on what he could easily grab.

It won't take Vash long to get changed again. He's surprised by how disappointed he feels when he gets properly dressed. He'll hold the boys and give Cyril a chance to get dressed before saying proper goodbyes and promises to be back tomorrow.

When he first departs, Vash seems composed and perfectly fine. That is until he reaches the edge of the forest and his mask starts to slip a little. The changes to his body throbbing with needs. As if anger at being so close and yet denied once more from what his body has been magically changed to need.

Getting closer to the cabin just makes that frustration worse. Thinking how he's about to be trapped in a small room with his brother. It's his brother that is keeping him from the man he really wants to be with.

Yet he smiles and doesn't show any of his frustrations as he approaches. Except for a slight flush to his cheeks.

Knives is outside of the cabin, actually. He is installing some technology to the roof as Vash comes inside. He has set up a communication relay to allow the cabin to get in contact with his people quickly.

He's taken off the jacket he usually wears, so as he works he has on just a tank top with his muscular but pale arms exposed to the air. When Vash approaches, he turns a bit to look at his brother, taking stock of the boys and his twin.

For a moment, when his twin first comes into view, Vash can't help but stare. The nagging burning becoming much more intense and harder to keep bottled up within just him as he watches his brother work.

His brother work. What was he thinking? God, he needed ten minutes of privacy so bad.

It will pass. He tells himself while his fake smile falls into place on his face. Nodding his head towards the figure on the roof. Hands too full of toddlers to wave.

"Hey there, we're home. Give me ten minutes to get the boys settled and I'll bring you a drink. Looks like hot work up there." He adds with a chuckle.

Knives narrows his eyes slightly, as if he's picking up something different in Vash's voice. Then he nods. "Sure," he says. He doesn't stubbornly refuse the idea of drinking or eating anything. Instead, he turns to focus on finishing up the installation.

Inside the cabin, Knives has already set up a compact computer console and has installed a small HVAC system to make the house a little more comfortable. It all runs on a solar panel so they don't have to worry about batteries.

"Oh." Vash is a little surprised by how much Knives has gotten done in one day. There are some comfort these items he know will bring them, but he also is already missing the completely simplistic life the cabin promised without the upgrades.

"Alright boys. Quick nappy check." He makes sure the boys are clean and settled. As their nap was interrupted they seem pretty happy to doze for the moment. Leaving Vash to feel alright leaving them for the short time it should take to bring his brother some water.

Another pang of desire hits him as he fills a flask with water. What was wrong with him today? Usually these feelings pass by now. Could it be the magic that had changed him?

He splashes a bit of water from the bucket onto his face. He just needs to cool down a little. This will pass.

By the time he's getting up onto the roof, Vash is his usual empty smile self. "Here, even if you don't need to drink, you should stay hydrated. It looks like you've been really busy today."

Knives nods, accepting the water and drinking it. "I can better monitor the surrounding area now," he explains. "And the boys will have access to the information as they grow."

Vash doesn't notice the way he purposely watches his brother drink. The way he can tell the water is slipping down his throat by the way his Adam apple moves.

He nearly misses what his brother says. Lost in a day dream. He recovers quickly with a smile. "Good, I hope it makes you feel safer while we're here." He means that honestly.

[samahl]

"Are you feeling ill?" Knives asks after a moment. "Something is wrong with you."

He can't help himself, he groans in embarrassment. The tension between not dealing with his feelings over Roderic's death and this unnatural desire to jump onto his own brother giving Vash a tension headache.

"I'm... fine." He finally lies. "I'm just tired. Heh, who would have thought raising twins would be endless work?" He tries to joke while implanting the start of hinting he needs a break and a little time alone.

Knives hums and shrugs. "Go lie down," he says. "Rest if you need it."

He hesitates. Wondering if he can really get done what he needs if he was to go 'rest'. Vash takes a moment to glance around the roof.

"Sure you don't need a hand up here? How much work do you think you have left to do?"

How much longer will you still be up here? Is what he REALLY wants to ask.

"Likely less than half an hour. I'll be fine. Go rest."
