Bad End Part 6 - Never let the pain stop

Things only continue to get worse. Vash continues to spiral and loose himself the more the mind breaking continues. The mages continue to use Cyril like he's nothing but a toy to use and throw away. Yet, any chance they have to have together the love Vash and Cyril share together stays strong. For now that remains unbroken. With every day only getting worse that will continue to be challenged.

Cyril tries to look Vash in the eye. He may be disappointed by the way Vash's eyes drift to the side towards Cyril's shoulder. He tries to do it slowly and not draw attention to it, but as he's looking for it, it will be easy for Cyril to spot.

"The boys are my number one priority, but I could be on the look out for anything that might help you while I at it."

"Probably new clothes for me too, then." That will make it easier for him to blend in.

With a nod, Vash gets ready to go out. Giving each of his sons a kiss before he goes. "I'll be back later."

Thinking Cyril must have important work first thing, Vash waits. Spending the first part of the day looking for work again in exchange for money or items. Looking out for clothes his brother might like and anything the kids may need.

If Cyril doesn't look for him first, Vash will seek him out towards midday.

Cyril doesn't seek him out. He spends the morning having breakfast with Marikoth and taking care of Cassandra. Then he has to plan some troop movements and read correspondence as the Inquisition starts to bring more and more of their troops into Tevinter covertly.

When Vash seeks him out, he finds him in the only really nice house in the town. It probably belonged to a minor noble who once lived in the area. Now it's in a bit of disrepair, even after the Inquisition members repaired parts of it to make it a sort of HQ for the area.

There was something so incredibly sexy to Vash seeing Cyril leading. "I hope I'm not interrupting too much. I can come back."

[samahl]

Cyril shakes his head. "No. It's all right. I was thinking of getting something to eat anyway," he says.

Bull doesn't seem particularly happy that Vash is around, but he doesn't say anything about it. He just gives them space for now.

Vash gives Bull a nod of his head and smile out if respect. Among Cyril's friends, he feels he's let Bull down the most.

"I'll try not to distract you for too long. I just..." He pauses. Thinking of all the lies he said he would say when he saw Cyril. "...I just really wanted to see you." He throws them all away and speaks the truth instead.

Cyril offers him a smile. "And I always want to see you."

"I think you might know where we're staying. It's an old hunting lodge. I heard that the Inquisition used it briefly."

i won't be tagging much tonight. i injured my hand x_x

Cyril nods. "My scouts did, when they first arrived here. To ensure it was a safe place for me."

Oh no! I hope it gets better quickly! I'm at work anyway so I won't be around much either.

[goldenglasses]

"I hope no one minds that we've moved in. We can find somewhere else if you end up needing it." The last thing he wants is to be in Cyril's way.

"For now, it seems a good distance from town that no one should be stumbling into Knives, but not too far that you can't visit the boys when you have a chance. Or too far for me to bring them to you."

[samahl]

"I agree," Cyril says after a moment. "No one else will need it, and it's a good way for Knives to have space." Then, after a moment. "Will he be comfortable with you bringing the boys to me though?"

At a con so replies will be random!

"You are their father." He says rather than his honest opinion. "I think I've started to help him think differently about you."

ooh have fun!

[samahl]

Cyril raises his brow, clearly unsure that he can believe that, but he doesn't say anything. "And, what about now?" he asks. "What would you like to do with me right now that we're together?"

I have spent too much money. Weep. But I hope your hand is doing better!

[goldenglasses]

"What I want?" It feels like such a scary thought. Maybe he can start small. "I just want to hold your hand and spend time with you."

"Let's go for a walk then." He stands and moves around to hold out his hand to Vash.

That's good!

There is only a little hesitation before he takes Cyril's hand. Giving it a squeeze. "I actually had a nice dream about you last night." The way his cheeks fill with colour suggests it was a dirty one.

think i'm gonna lie down though. enjoy the con!

"Oh? Why don't you tell me about it?" Cyril asks with a smile.

"Well, we were travelling together and we had to make camp in the snow. And it was very cold until we started to share a blanket and get warmed up."

[samahl]

"Hmm. I think I had that fantasy before. Probably when we were younger and traveling in the snow..."

[goldenglasses]

"You know, I wish I had been more open and honest about my feelings for you back then." He feels like he's wasted so much time.

[samahl]

"Well, don't dwell on it too much. A part of me liked the chase."

[goldenglasses]

"Yeah? Did you? That's good, because I made you chase for awhile, didn't I? I was pretty clueless back then."

[samahl]

Cyril shrugs. "You're situation is complicated. I understand wanting to keep people you care about out of it."

[goldenglasses]

"For all the good it did you." He shakes his head. "Sorry, not suppose to be dwelling on the past too much." How he misses those easy days.

"Would you have time to have lunch with our kids? I bought Knives some new clothes. I could distract him with that while you spend time with them."
